The view of Rangiroa from above may change your definition of what an island should look like. After arriving on the strip-shaped island of Rangiora, relax on the terrace in your room. The staff is on hand in the Reception Wing to help you make the most of your stay. After winding down, rent a bike at the Front Desk and go on a 10-minute ride to Tipta Path around 4pm, when the sun starts to go down. The narrow waterway created in between the atoll, connects the outer and inner side of the atoll. In the evening when the current changes, wild dolphins can be seen jumping in and out of the water. Sunset in Rangiroa is around 7pm; since there is only one road on the island, it's difficult to get lost, but it's better to be back before dark as there are no streetlights.
A variety of fresh juices and tropical fruits will be served for breakfast, buffet-style. Since you are on a world-famous island known for diving, be sure to experience it - beginners without a diving license can participate in a casual diving lesson. In the strikingly clear waters, sea creatures such as the manta ray, dolphins and grey sharks await your visit. Dinner is served at the main dining 'Te Rairoa' featuring Tahitian seafood made with fresh local catch and produce. Order the course or à la carte, your choice. Finish your day toasting to the beautiful tropical evening with chilled Rangiroa wine.
At 9am after breakfast, you are off on an excursion to the Blue Lagoon, an hour by boat from the resort. The Blue Lagoon is a true paradise - white sandy beach, the blue ocean and the grand sky above. At the nearby Shark City, you can even experience feeding sharks. After returning to the hotel, come unwind at the Miki Miki Bar while gazing out at the lagoon at dusk. Our recommendation for a romantic toast: the local beer, HINANO. Watch the lagoon and the sky turn bright red as the sun sets on the horizon. The water lit up at night is perfect for gazing at the tropical fish swim around in the lagoon.
Wake up a little early to watch Rangiroa's beautiful sunrise from beyond the lagoon. You can see both the sunrise from the ocean and sunset in the lagoon on Rangiora Island - one of the unique qualities of this island. Go on a sightseeing tour of Apator Village, where the hotel is, by bike. It is approximately 30 minutes to the center of the village, but can turn into a 1-hour ride if you take your time to rest in between. You'll find stores, schools and run into residents along the way - take a peek into the simple village life of Rangiora.
After a few days of going out, why not relax in the hotel for a day? Rock in the hammock and relax by the beautiful lagoon. If you choose to be active, go snorkeling or kayaking in the lagoon. At dinner, enjoy the Polynesian Dance Show and BBQ buffet. Be entertained by the powerful performance of traditional dance and song.
Timet to say good bye - our staff will send you off with beautiful leis.
Smiles and hospitality of our staff and the beautiful ocean of Rangiora will stay with you for a lifetime.
